Get to Know Us

Keith A. Barr, CFP®, CLU, ChFC

Keith has worked in the financial planning field since 1992. In 2000 he formed LifePlan Financial Advisory Group.

Keith is a graduate of Grand Valley State University. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Accounting. Keith has earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designations.

Keith has had a number of teaching opportunities. He has taught seminars and has served as a retirement counselor for employees and executives of SBC Communications and Detroit Edison. He has taught retirement and financial planning classes as an adjunct professor for Macomb Community College and has taught classes specifically for Teachers and Administrators of the Macomb Intermediate School District and Pontiac School District.

Keith is married to Michelle and has four children. Keith enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends, as well as mountain and road biking.

Catherine Gearig, CFP®, MBA

Cathy is a financial advisor at LifePlan. Cathy received a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University and a Masters in Business Administration from Oakland University.

Cathy has completed the Oakland University CFP®program and has earned the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation. She joined LifePlan in 2003.

Cathy and her husband have two children. They are a very active family and enjoy biking, swimming and camping with their children.

Diane Kucia

Diane is our customer support liaison. Typically she is the first voice you hear when you call and the first face you see when you visit. She has her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing. Diane and her husband Jim have three children.

When not in the office or carpooling to soccer games and scouting events, you can find Diane on the tennis court.

We Use a Team Approach

At LifePlan, we believe very strongly that this industry requires a team approach. The information to absorb is massive. Certainly clients require quick response to their questions and problems. And only through a dedicated team can the information be absorbed, appropriate recommendations made, and prompt and efficient service given to you, the client.
